We made it to Europe!

We finally made it to Europe! I have been waiting to go ever since we first started planning. We flew from Boston to London the other day and we spent a little more than 24 hours in London. Most of it was spent sleeping though because our flight was at 10:15 PM and we barely slept because planes are not the most comfortable sleeping place. It's hard to adjust to the time difference when you barely sleep. We are 5 hours ahead of Eastern USA in London, but everywhere else we will be 6 hours ahead. There are lots of things I'm excited to do, so I hope we will get used to the time difference quickly.

There are so many places to visit and so many things to do here. I'm most excited to visit Spain and Italy. When we're in Italy we're going to Florence for a month. We went to Florence when we went to Italy before, and it was a cool city. We're also going to Venice, and I'm excited to see how they travel in canals instead of roads. The city I'm most excited to visit in Spain is Barcelona. We're not going to be in Barcelona for long, so we're going to have to make the most of it. I want to be able to see La Sagrada Familia, the big church that they’re still building. Another thing I would like to see in Barcelona is the coastline. From all the pictures I’ve seen it looks beautiful. Those are the places I'm most excited for in Spain and Italy, but there are places in other countries I'm excited to see. I think most people would be excited to see the Eiffel Tower, and I’m one of them. We won't be in Paris until December, but when we get there I want to be able to go up the tower. We would probably have a great view of Paris from the top. I also want to see the Eiffel Tower at night so I can see it all lit up. While we're still in Paris I also want to go to the Louvre. There is lot's of amazing art there, and it would be fun to just walk around for a few hours. I'm not waiting in a super long line to go see the Mona Lisa though. When we make it back to London in December I would like to go on the London Eye. The views of the city would be fantastic, so it's not just a ride but also a place for sightseeing. I think that Mini Europe in Brussels will also be fun to see. It is pretty much most of Europe's iconic buildings, but miniature. After we visit, we don't even need to go anywhere else!

It's going to be busy with all the places to visit, and don't forget we still have to do school work. We're going to be busy all trip, but it's still going to be a lot of fun. Traveling around Europe is not something a lot of people get to do, so we have to make sure we have a great time. I'll be updating you with a blog post every week!
